About Me
I am a general practitioner passionate about preventing disease and managing chronic illness to improve your self-management ability and to get you back onto your feet through a holistic model of healthcare. I have had extensive experience through the local and rural public hospital systems in Western Australia and have completed my general practice training in Geraldton (Panaceum Medical). Through my training I have cared for patients of all ages from paediatrics to the elderly in nursing homes. I have additionally completed the academic post program which allowed me to conduct research in metabolic syndrome to identify the barriers and facilitators to providing lifestyle care in rural Western Australia. This deepened my clinical interest in chronic disease care in general. I have also taught medical students during this time and in the University of Western Australia as well as giving mentoring.
